For me, the results of AMSOIL combined with cruise control at 65 mph on the highway are incredible. Next Saturday, will be changing transmission fluid, front and rear differential fluid, and transfer case fluid to AMSOIL as well. I am sold on quality additives, my additive of choice is AMSOIL! This gain was achieved on long trips as well and also includes a trip from Wisconsin to Kansas City, no towing on the way there and towing 2500 lb smoker on the way back. I also full credit cruise control at 65 mph as a factor for this on the highway. Multiple trips from my house to Chicago and back averaging 22.3 with towing and 21.6 towing 4000lb trailer back. The picture below is 100 miles into a highway trip. I currently have 7100 miles on the truck and it is a 6.7 Power Stroke. Here are some pictures of what I have achieved in MPG. I also changed my oil at 1250 miles to AMSOIL signature synthetic and an AMSOIL oil filter. With AMSOIL, I have achieved phenomenal results on MPG. I wholeheartedly endorse any quality diesel additive out there, and there are several. I did a lot of research and decided on this brand for myself. Brought a bottle to the dealership and put it in before I left the lot. I have used AMSOIL 4 in 1 diesel additive religiously since I picked up my 2021 F350 Tremor. What else could it be but him using an awesome fuel additive? Truck has been going for over a year now, Just made the trip from GA to Northern Idaho, truck is still going. No check engine lights, no water in fuel lights, truck seems to run like a top. Changed his filters once going back home and ever oil change since then, still using the optilube additive, but not every tank, and has gone over 6000 miles with it. The last shop told him the only thing he could do that might get him back home to GA was change his fuel filter 2 or 3 times on the way home and, to my surprise gave him a jug of optilube XPD. Being sort on money he just couldn't afford to fix it. No warranty, contaminated fuel they claimed, so no warranty. He made it back up to Idaho, 2 more shops confirmed the issue, including the one that replaced his system the first time. When the truck first acted up he was in NM, shop there showed him the evidence that his pump was failing and on its way out. Got it fixed, ran less then a year and lost another one, on his way to Idaho from GA. He didn't work it hard has been pretty good about taking good care of his vehicles.ĭoesn't know where he went wrong, we just figure it's random issues that happens with these pumps. At less then 100000 miles he lost his first cp4 pumps that ruined the entire fuel system. What has really pushed me to that belief even further is seeing what my cousin's husband's truck has gone through. So my point, in the diesel world we all have to have some common sense and understanding of our own, I wouldn't trust a big corporation like ford anymore then I do our government. The concept that a trans, especially in a truck made to work and haul heavy loads, can go thousands of miles with no need of service or checking, is nuts! Built as a none serviceable trans with no trans dipstick. The new 10 speed transmission is a great example. They don't build stuff to last anymore, stuff built now, by most all brands are more of a through away product. One of the biggest reasons I've stayed away from the ford diesel side for the last 10 years or so.Ĭame across this thread and just couldn't help make a couple comments.įirst, we would be foolish to trust all of Fords recommendations, they have dealt us consumers wrong before, it has been proven time and time again that these automobile companies don't always have our best interest in mind. Seen plenty of cp4 pumps and fuel systems go down among other things over the last 10 years. Been reading up on safe diesel additives and if their needed on the ford, as I just bought a 21 f350.
